It annoys me when British book titles are altered for the American market, be it Philosopher's Stone to Sorceror's Stone or Blood of the Isles to Saxons, Vikings And Celts.

College professors over-emphasize the need for footnote, especially those in the history department; however, this does not apply to Alison Weir for any of her histories of the British Royals. How many other authors in her genre like Jane Dunn, George Hibbert, and David Starkey have pages upon pages devoted to identifying their source materials? ( Read more... )
